Technical Director

A technical manager (or technical director) in construction is a senior manager responsible for all technical aspects of construction projects, including monitoring the execution of work, the quality of materials and compliance with building codes, the implementation of new technologies and the management of engineering systems.


The main responsibilities of the technical manager:
  • Supervision of construction progress, acceptance of completed works and quality control.
  • Ensuring the availability and compliance of all necessary technical documentation for facilities and equipment with regulatory requirements.
  • Selection and application of new construction technologies, as well as their implementation into production processes.
  • Control over the procurement, availability and rational use of construction and repair materials, as well as spare parts.
  • Ensuring technical operation of buildings, monitoring the serviceability of engineering systems (electricity supply, water supply, etc.) and equipment.
  • Finding ways to reduce costs and improve the quality of construction work, as well as meeting deadlines.
  • Management of engineering personnel, coordination of actions of subordinates and distribution of tasks.
  • Monitoring compliance with safety regulations and implementing risk minimization measures.

The role of the technical manager is to ensure an efficient and uninterrupted production process, coordinate the work of subordinates, control the quality and deadlines of work, and ensure that facilities comply with established requirements.
